Sunak holds back on rejoining Horizon after Brexit breakthrough

Prime minister ‘sceptical’ about value of research programme and cost of UK participation

Rishi Sunak is refusing to rush Britain back into the EU’s €95.5bn Horizon science programme in spite of his breakthrough in relations with Brussels, raising the prospect of a tough negotiation on rejoining the scheme.
