
Three members of Scotland’s parliament have secured places in the contest to succeed Nicola Sturgeon as first minister and Scottish National party leader, a race that risks worsening internal policy divisions.
Scotland’s governing party said on Friday that health secretary Humza Yousaf, finance secretary Kate Forbes and Ash Regan, former community safety minister, had each received the required 100 nominations from members of at least 20 party branches to stand for election.
