Former Goldman Sachs trader’s ‘tell-all’ book hits streets

Greg Smith, the former Goldman Sachsemployee, today publishes his “tell all” account of his time at the US investment bank.

While the 277-page book, entitled Why I Left Goldman Sachs, paints an unflattering picture of Goldman in the years before and after the financial crisis, it does not contain any blockbuster discoveries that could lead to trouble for the bank’s top executives.

Instead the book describes Mr Smith’s journey from summer intern to selling equity derivatives from Goldman’s London office, the position he quit in March.
