The Chinese central government's liaison office in the territory confirmed on Friday its website has been targeted by hackers in recent days.
The Liaison Office of the Central People's Government said its site had been attacked twice on Wednesday and Thursday, blocking visitors on one occasion.
It reported the incident to the police and has now resumed normal service.
