How India will benefit from Trump’s visa curbs

Protectionism usually backfires. To protect US software workers, President Donald Trump has issued executive orders to ensure that only

the “most skilled and highest paid” foreigners receive visas for on-site work in the US.

One official said that Indian software companies paid $65,000 a year for temporary Indian workers, the minimum wage for H-1B visa holders, compared with the median software pay of $150,000 in Silicon Valley.
