Macedonia could be given a new name as a way to unlock Greek opposition to its Nato membership bid, the foreign minister has said.
Nikola Dimitrov, foreign minister in the new government, will today tell senior Nato officials in Brussels that granting Macedonia membership would help calm the Balkan region after months of political tension and occasional bloodshed.
