Huawei has attacked the US and its allies for spreading fear about its telecoms equipment because of “ideological or geopolitical concerns.”
Ken Hu, the current chief executive of the Chinese telecoms group, said countries that banned Huawei from their telecoms infrastructure would put themselves at a severe disadvantage as the world moves to 5G, the next generation of mobile internet.
In recent weeks, the US has lobbied several countries to ban Huawei from their 5G networks because of security concerns.
