A Chinese doctor who became a hero to millions for raising the alarm over the coronavirus epidemic has died, sparking an outpouring of grief and anger.
After earlier reports that Li Wenliang had passed away, medical officials said he was in fact in critical condition.
The hospital in Wuhan, the centre of the outbreak, later said in a statement on Weibo, the Twitter-like social media platform, that Li had died after he too was infected.
