Global stocks fell further on Friday as market expectations for a V-shaped recovery continued to crumble in the wake of a grim forecast from the US Federal Reserve.
Tokyo’s benchmark Topix index dropped 2 per cent, Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 shed 2.3 per cent and South Korea’s Kospi tumbled 2.7 per cent.
Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index fell 1.3 per cent and China’s CSI 300 index of Shanghai and Shenzhen-listed stocks fell 0.6 per cent.
