US stocks ended Monday on a muted note, with tech shares inching higher, as investors kept a close eye on US debt ceiling negotiations ahead of a meeting between president Joe Biden and House speaker Kevin McCarthy later in the day.
The benchmark S&P 500 closed flat, following small gains earlier in the session, while the technology-heavy Nasdaq Composite added 0.5 per cent.
