European equities stumbled on Monday as weak earnings forecasts weighed on the healthcare sector and a slow economic recovery in China made investors more cautious on basic materials stocks.
Europe’s region-wide Stoxx 600 lost 0.9 per cent, as did France’s Cac 40. London’s FTSE 100 was down 0.6 per cent. Markets were subdued on Monday as US markets are closed for the Juneteenth federal holiday.
