Waymo in talks to raise funds at $100bn valuation

Alphabet’s robotaxi venture plans to expand to dozens of cities, including London and New York

Waymo, the Alphabet-owned self-driving car company, is in talks with investors for a funding round that would value that company at more than $100bn as it gears up to deploy in more big cities.

The company has discussed raising between $15bn and $20bn in a round early next year led by its parent company, according to people familiar with the matter.

The funding talks were still at an early stage, the people said. Waymo declined to comment. The Information first reported the talks.
