Apollo Global Management is seeking a replacement for its head of Europe Rob Seminara, marking its second senior leadership change in quick succession in a region where the private capital firm is intensifying its activity.
Seminara, a dealmaker who has overseen Apollo’s operations in Europe for more than a decade, will relinquish his position and take on a global role with the firm, Apollo told the FT in response to an enquiry.
The move follows the departure in October of Michele Rabà, Apollo’s lead partner for European private equity, who is joining rival Blackstone as head of its corporate buyout business in Europe. Apollo has named Alex van Hoek, who joined the firm in 2010, as Rabà’s replacement.
