Adidas’s philanthropic foundation said it has not been affected by fallout from the sportswear company’s high-profile split with Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, as it expands its presence.
The Adidas Foundation was set up in 2023, a year after the company ended its Yeezy partnership with the rapper and designer following a series of antisemitic and racist remarks, including praise for Adolf Hitler.
The foundation is legally separate from Adidas and is backed by a 10-year €205mn funding pledge from the company, which is based on the proceeds from selling off leftover Yeezy stock.
