WuXi AppTec is back on the defense after being added by the Pentagon to an updated list of companies that have ties to the Chinese military.
The list, published Monday, falls under Section 1260H of the US National Defense Authorization Act and links WuXi AppTec back to the Biosecure Act, a bill aiming to restrict US drugmakers from working with Chinese service suppliers. The Biosecure Act links companies of concern to the Pentagon’s 1260H list and became law in December after President Donald Trump signed off on the defense package that included it.
