Prosecutors have identified the main suspect in a bombing that injured a Ukrainian tycoon in Monaco as a woman from Ukraine who is believed to have fled to Germany.
A booby-trapped device exploded on Monday shortly before 9pm at a residential building in the tax haven, known for its yachts, Grand Prix and as a magnet for the very rich. A person familiar with the investigation into the incident said Vadym Iermolaiev, a Ukrainian tycoon, was one of the injured.
In a press conference on Friday, a Monaco prosecutor said they had initially believed the attacker was a man but later figured out that it was a woman in disguise. Video surveillance showed the woman scouting the area several times in the days before the attack.
