The US has launched strikes against Iran in retaliation for Tehran’s “surprise” ballistic missile attack on Tuesday, after President Donald Trump vowed to deliver a “beating” to the Islamic republic.
“U.S. forces began launching strikes against Iran,” US Central Command, which oversees American military operations in the Middle East, said on Wednesday.
“The strikes are a powerful response to yesterday’s attempted Iranian attacks on U.S. forces based in the Middle East.”
