White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt will leave her role at the end of August, Donald Trump has announced.
The president on Wednesday said Leavitt, who staunchly defended him and his agenda from the White House podium, would be stepping down but remain a “top outside advisor”.
Trump said Leavitt had done a “phenomenal job” and that he understood her decision to spend more time with her young children.
