Occasionally I go on CNBC to talk about the market. After an appearance I like to peruse the blogs and message boards to see what, if any, reaction there was to my appearance.
Unlike these columns, in a television appearance people can actually see me. That makes reactions like this one, found on a Yahoo message board, all the more unpleasant (or amusing, depending on the state of my ego that day): “Don't waste your time on this douchebag, unfortunately his moral compass is way the **** off and he will likely die a lonely man, albeit with loads of money and the names of many high-class hookers under his belt.”
Or this one: “There was some homeless looking guy named James Altucher recommending stocks on CNBC today. Pretty cool of CNBC to let the destitute have a voice for their stock picks.”
