A random sampling of Beijing public opinion provided a unanimous view of China's place in relation to the other three countries in the grouping known in Chinese as “the four nations of the golden brick”.
“China has already surpassed the other golden brick countries and its potential is still far greater than theirs,” said Zhang Rui, 32, an IT technician.
