Optimism is rising strongly among manufacturers and service providers, according to a survey published today by Markit Economics and KPMG, the advisory firm.
On a global basis, 61 per cent of surveyed manufacturers expect more activity at their company in the next 12 months while 8 per cent expect activity to fall.
The balance of 53 percentage points is the highest recorded since the survey started in 2009, sharply up on the 41-point balance registered four months earlier.
