Aeon, Japan’s largest supermarket group, is ramping up its expansion in China, where it expects to have at least 2,000 outlets in the next decade, according to its chief strategy officer.
“I don’t think that we have any cap below 2,000 stores,” Jerry Black, Aeon’s executive vice-president and chief strategy officer, told the Financial Times.
“No matter how fast we grow between now and 2020, I don’t think we will reach market saturation.
