How concerned should the world be about North Korea’s nuclear weapons programme?
Very, according to most experts. North Korea conducted two nuclear tests in 2006 and 2009, becoming the ninth nation to acquire nuclear weapons. It has enough plutonium to explode about eight bombs. Last year it emerged it was developing another nuclear strand, with the unveiling of a state-of-the art uranium enrichment plant. It has some indigenous capability but may be getting resources from China.
