North Korea says it has started injecting fuel into a long-range rocket as its neighbours prepare for the imminent launch of the Unha-3.
The launch is the centrepiece of nationwide celebrations of the centenary of the birth of Kim Il-sung, founder of the nation and grandfather of Kim Jong-eun, North Korea’s new leader.
To consolidate his powerfurther, Mr Kim 11 April assumed the title of “first secretary” of the ruling workers’ party.
