Stefan Jacoby, chief executive of Volvo Cars, will step down for a month due to illness, the Swedish carmaker said on Sunday.
Mr Jacoby, who is 54, suffered a mild stroke last week. Jan Gurander, the company’s chief financial officer, will serve as acting CEO during his absence, Volvo said.
The company said that Mr Jocoby had been placed under medical supervision, and that he had started the recovery process.
