China has attacked wealthy countries for not agreeing to hand over any more money to developing nations to help them deal with climate change.
Beijing said emerging economies may need up to $1tn to cope with global warming.
Two weeks of talks stayed angrily deadlocked over climate finance on Thursday, a day before their scheduled close. The head of China’s delegation, Xie Zhenhua, asked why more countries had not followed the lead of the UK, Germany and other EU countries that have promised to hand over a combined €6.85bn in coming years.
