Allegations levelled against China state enterprise chief

A journalist who works for China’s official news agency has made serious allegations about a UBS staff member and the head of a big Chinese state-owned enterprise.

Wang Wenzhi, a journalist at a newspaper controlled by Xinhua, made his claims about Song Lin, the chairman of China Resources Holding Co, in an open letter addressed to the Communist party body in charge of breaches of party rules including corruption.

The allegations come amid a year-long anti-corruption crackdown in China spearheaded by President Xi Jinping, with Chinese authorities set to press formal charges against a high-ranking official, Zhou Yongkang.
