“Made in Britain” may not necessarily mean better quality for British brand Jaguar Land Rover, according to the boss of its China operations.
The carmaker’s new high-tech Chinese production line has an advantage over its parent factory in the UK and will be capable of rolling off superior vehicles, Bob Grace said at the Beijing motor show yesterday.
“We do have the opportunity possibly to build a car of a level of quality here in China that’s actually going to be higher than our parent factory back in Liverpool,” he said.
