The leaders of Russia and Ukraine reached a "permanent ceasefire" agreement during an early Wednesday phone call, according to a short statement made by the press service of Ukraine's pro-western president, reports Roman Olearchyk from Mariupol.
A statement on the official website of President Petro Poroshenko read: “[The] President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a phone conversation with President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
“The conversation resulted in an agreement on constant ceasefire in the Donbas. The parties reached mutual understanding on the steps that will facilitate the establishment of peace.”
