Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet wins 2015 Nobel Peace Prize

The Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for its contribution to the country’s transition to democracy in the wake of the Arab spring.

The little-known group won out over a long list of famous names, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Pope Francis.

The Dialogue, formed in 2013, was a key player in aiding Tunisia’s political transition, helping to ratify a new constitution and set up its electoral commission.
