Shares in a Hong Kong brokerage have plummeted after it announced on Monday its chief executive could not be contacted.
Shares in Guotai Junan International fell 15 per cent to HK$2.78 in the first 10 minutes of trading, after the securities broker said in a statement to the Hong Kong stock exchange that it has not been able to reach its chief executive Yim Fung, who is also the company's chairman, since November 18.
No further explanation was given.
