A Hong Kong court has convicted three student activists who led the 2014 pro-democracy protests, including Joshua Wong, the face of the so-called Umbrella movement.
Mr Wong, 19, who played a big role in the Occupy Central protests that demanded universal suffrage in the Chinese Special Administrative Region, was yesterday found guilty of unlawful assembly for illegally entering government headquarters.
Fellow demonstrator Alex Chow, 25, was also found guilty of unlawful assembly, while Nathan Law, 23, was convicted of inciting others to take part in illegal assembly.
