Donald Trump is preparing for a trade war with China, billionaire investor George Soros has predicted, as the US president-elect forces Europe into closer relations with Asia.
In an interview at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Thursday night, Mr Soros also suggested that the British people might eventually seek a “rapprochement” with Europe.
Mr Soros reportedly lost nearly $1bn when markets rallied in the weeks after the election of Mr Trump, whom he described as an “imposter and a con man and a would-be dictator”.
