Xi Jinping arrived in Florida yesterday for his first summit with Donald Trump, with trade and North Korea likely to be on the agenda.
US officials have played down the potential for breakthroughs between the Chinese and US presidents, and stressed that the meeting is aimed at starting a relationship.
But as Mr Trump told the Financial Times in an interview last week, he “would not be at all surprised if we did something that would be very dramatic and good for both countries”.
