A hijacked truck smashed into a crowd in central Stockholm on Friday, killing at least three people and injuring many in what the Swedish prime minister described as a terror attack.
Shortly before 3pm a stolen truck drove through a busy, pedestrianised street, hitting people before crashing into the Ahlens City department store.
“According to security police, we have at least two deceased in this terrible act of terror and we think of the victims and their families, loved ones, of the injured,” Mr Löfven told reporters. Swedish media organisations reported a death toll of at least three.
