US President Donald Trump has criticised London’s mayor and called for an end to political correctness in response to a terror attack in the British capital that resulted in seven deaths and dozens of injuries.
Mr Trump said on Saturday the US was “with the UK” and spoke to British Prime Minister Theresa May to offer his condolences. But on Sunday he took to Twitter to criticise Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London.
“We must stop being politically correct and get down to the business of security for our people,” he tweeted. “At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is ‘no reason to be alarmed!’”
