A man driving a white van has ploughed into pedestrians near a Muslim centre in Finsbury Park, north London, causing several casualties in what Metropolitan Police described as a “major incident”.
Police said in a statement they were called at 00.20 on Monday June 19 to reports of a vehicle collision with pedestrians on Seven Sisters road.
“One man was pronounced dead at the scene,” the Metropolitan Police said, adding that eight people had been taken to hospital and a further two were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
