Brussels poised to fine Google €1bn in move set to fuel transatlantic tensions

Brussels plans to hit Google this week with a fine of more than €1bn for abusing its dominance in search, a decision that is likely to inflame already strained transatlantic relations.

The final decision is expected to be made on Wednesday, according to people familiar with the investigation.
