Iranian president Hassan Rouhani on Thursday said his new government would work to improve relations with the outside world as he seeks to attract foreign investment to tackle high unemployment and boost the economy.
Speaking at his swearing-in ceremony, Mr Rouhani, who won a landslide victory at elections in May, said he wanted to embark on an “economic revolution”.
“With more self-confidence than before [after the election] . . . we insist on constructive and effective interaction with the world,” he said.
