South Korea’s President Moon Jae-in has mentioned the possibility of a trilateral summit with North Korea and the US with an aim to end North Korea’s nuclear threats and establish peace on the Korean peninsula.
Mr Moon’s comments on Wednesday came as Seoul offered to hold high-level talks with Pyongyang at Panmunjom on March 29 to discuss the highly-anticipated inter-Korean summit due in late April.
“Depending on progress, it may lead to a three-way summit between South and North Korea and the US,” Mr Moon said after a preparatory meeting for the inter-Korean summit.
