Trump blasts Iran as Macron lobbies for nuclear deal

French president Emmanuel Macron has pledged to work with the US to improve the Iran nuclear deal, hours after Donald Trump issued a tough warning against Tehran restarting its programme even if the US pulled out of the existing accord.

This also included Iran ending its ballistic missile activities and containing its interference in the Middle East.

“I’m very happy about the discussion we had together,” Mr Macron said at a joint press conference, adding the pair had floated “new” solutions during bilateral talks.
