China said it has dropped its anti-dumping investigation into US imports of sorghum on Friday as it was not in the public interest.
The Ministry of Commerce said its investigation, which was launched in February, had received comments from downstream consumers who said the anti-dumping deposits could impact their costs. The grain is used in animal feed and to make spirits.
Beijing had imposed a 178 per cent import duty on US sorghum imports as an anti-dumping measure.
