Two Koreas set to let tourists cross DMZ line

It may mean only a few small steps for visiting tourists, but it will be giant leap in inter-Korean reconciliation.

Civilian visitors to the heavily fortified demilitarised zone that separates North and South Korea will soon be able to cross the demarcation line that has for decades acted as the frontier between the two adversaries.

For decades, civilian contact across the border was forbidden and special approval was needed for any form of inter-Korean exchange.
