China’s manufacturing sector growth slowed in October, according to official figures, as concerns mount over the slowing Chinese economy.
The manufacturing purchasing managers’ index published by China’s National Bureau of Statistics slipped to 50.2 from 50.8 the month prior and edging closer to the 50-point line separating growth from contraction.
The result for October was also below to a median forecast from economists polled by Reuters predicting the gauge ease to 50.6.
