I have been doing the rounds of the big banks’ annual predictions for global and emerging markets. Generally, they are all selling pretty benign outlooks.
1. Trade war moderation will give a modest bid to global growth, but not enough to keep central banks in developed markets from tightening their easy liquidity policies.
2. Geopolitical risks in the Middle East should be managed but will keep oil prices in a sweet spot for consumers and sellers in EMs and for global markets, at around 60 bucks.
