US companies say the spread of the coronavirus in China has already affected manufacturing and tourism around the country, according to a report from the Federal Reserve.
The virus has also caused some businesses to feel less certain about the future.
“There were indications that Coronavirus was negatively impacting travel and tourism in the US,” according to the Beige Book, a record of conversations with local businesses released on Wednesday. “Some supply chain delays were reported as a result of the coronavirus, and several districts said that producers feared further disruptions in the coming weeks.”
