Donald Trump said he was “not concerned” about getting coronavirus after a Brazilian official who he met at his Florida resort last weekend tested positive for the virus.
Mr Trump met Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro last weekend at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. He hosted a dinner where he sat beside the Brazilian leader, who is being monitored after Fábio Wajngarten, his press secretary, tested positive for coronavirus.
Mr Trump also posed for a photograph with Mr Wajngarten, who was wearing a “Make Brazil Great Again” baseball cap. Rick Scott, a Florida senator who also met the aide, announced on Thursday that he would “self-quarantine” because of the encounter.
