WHO urges rich countries to join global Covid-19 vaccine facility

Covax scheme aims to distribute 2bn vaccines but has struggled to raise funds

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO director-general, said on Tuesday that he had written to all member states calling on them to join Covax by August 31.
