The head of the World Health Organization has called for further investigation into the origins of the coronavirus pandemic after the report on its mission to Wuhan left important questions unanswered.
“As far as WHO is concerned, all hypotheses remain on the table,” said Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director-general of the WHO.
The remarks amounted to a rebuke of China, which has sought to shield international experts from examining its early response to the outbreak in Wuhan and play down the country’s role in the spread of the virus worldwide.
