You can tell all this talk of a bubble in markets has hit the mainstream because real-life friends and family of mine (disgracefully, not regular FT readers) have been asking me whether stocks are about to crash, and what they can do about it if so.
Now, I don’t give investment advice — if I did it would probably be terrible, and in any case, I don’t know. No one does. Bubbles are only ever truly easy to identify in the rear-view mirror.
Nonetheless, bubble talk really is now everywhere, and how to hide from potential horrible fallout is the topic dominating the retail and professional investment industry.
